With an excellent selection of beer and a well stocked back bar, the New Inn is one of the last bastions of back-street boozers in Whitstable.
Built in the 1830s, The New Inn is the first purpose built pub in Whitstable. Back then it served railway workers, dockers and fishermen who all lived in the surrounding cottages. Nowadays, our pub attracts a wider clientele, but is still an unpretentious and friendly family run pub, where we will remember your name and your favourite tipple.

What a pub, had walked along the coat and found this amazing pub on an off chance. Chloe who runs the pub, what a host. Loved speaking to the locals and had a fantastic 1st time experience, won't be going Loneon anymore with be going to the New Inn Whitstable. Great pub, great people, great time.
Good pub.
I used to run past the New Inn but I had never stepped inside until today. A very welcoming barmaid. We had two pints and the vegan pizza. The food was actually very good. We’d definitely go back.
Lovely pub, friendly staff, good selection of spirits. Hidden from high street in residential area, good for a few drinks.
